Well, they've added a couple of new designers to the Vogue patterns... Rebecca Taylor and Rachel Comey. I'm soooo excited about Rebecca Taylor because I LOVE her designs! Best of all, they have a pattern for a suit that I've been waiting to make!!! I even bought fabric for it last year and was trying to figure out which patterns would come close, but now I don't have to worry. It's V1169.

I like the new site. I think it's a little more user-friendly, though it's a little harder to find some things. I give them credit for trying to keep it fresh.

About the hem lace: most of
the time I use hem lace, but some time I use the hem binding. The hem binding
that I buy lately is supposed to be fusible, but I don't like that at all. So
when I buy the hem binding I just pull the fusible strip right off of it.
First I measure my hem and press it. The whether I'm using hem lace or hem
binding I start by placing it at one of the side seams placing it right on the
edge of the hem's raw edge but on the right side of the fabric. I use a medium
zigzag stitch to attach the lace or binding on the right side of the raw edge
overlapping just a little when I get all the way around to the place that I
started.
Next I pin the hem in place and hand stitch the upper edge of the lace or
binding in place. This is just something that I was taught to do in high
school, and now I apply it to garments that I feel are a little special; pants,
skirts or dresses.
Hope this helps, it's nothing really but I like it.
